SPECIAL SINGLE-SUBJECT REPORT:
October Minuteman Borderwatch
----------
The lamestream media told you:
The self-proclaimed Minutemen, an armed bunch of dangerous hooligans recklessly taking the law into their own hands, have created turmoil by patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border without permission from the proper authorities.
Claiming a membership in the thousands, the vigilante band of volunteers has aroused the ire of civil-rights groups everywhere, has been condemned by national and local politicians, and are creating hardships for poor desperate needy immigrants from Mexico who are just seeking a better way of life.
Governors in the U.S.-Mexico border states have declared an emergency on their borders due to the high volume of needy immigrants coming in, destroying the environment, increasing crime rates, using up social services and overwhelming hospital emergency rooms. An estimated 5,000 people per day sneak in, despite the Minuteman patrols, the National Guard, and Homeland Security officers.
The Minutemen have not been heard from recently, and no arrests of them for any illegal activity have been made.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Although the lamestream media has clamped a tight lid on any news from the Mexico border in the month of October, hundreds of respectable, law-abiding Americans are serving as volunteer Minutemen on the lines during the month-long border watch with good results.
The volunteers are characterized as vigilantes by reporters, which if true would be illegal. However, for some reason, no charges have been brought and no arrests have been made, casting doubts on the reporters, according to leading experts.
This may be due to the fact, unreported, that the entire project is a strict exercise of the First Amendment only. People are assembling on land where they have a right to be as legal citizens, sitting in beach chairs while observing the terrain, and speaking with Border Patrol agents on cell phone numbers provided by the Border Patrol. Assembly and speech, that is all. Members are strategically stationed, they do not patrol.
No contact of any kind with people observed sneaking into America is allowed. A sole exception is made for medical emergencies, as detailed in the correspondent report filed below.
The reason for the complete blackout of any Minuteman news in the "news" media, which had previously swamped the public with breathless sensational reports on the subject, was unclear at press time.
The following report was filed by Uninvited Ombudsman correspondent Lance Altherr, the Tucson Chapter Leader.
"We have had over 185 volunteers standing post on our lines and we are making a difference.
"This past week was an active one, with many things that highlight what we are doing to help secure our borders. One of the most important things that happened were two life-saving rescues.
"The first came Friday night when a group of 11 illegal aliens ran past one of our posts on the Kolbe Line. The group left behind three females -- a 19-year-old, a 22-year-old, and a 4-year-old. The 4-year-old had not eaten in a day-and-a-half.
"They had been forced to walk 38 miles in a day-and-a-half. The 4-year-old was hungry, thirsty and cold, but thanks to our caring Minutemen, we gave them food, water and blankets until the Border Patrol agents arrived. We actually had Minutemen take their own jackets off and let the women wear them until Border Patrol arrived.
"The second incident happened Saturday, when we spotted an illegal along the side of Highway 286. Our State Director, Stacey O'Connell, and one of the Search and Rescue team members quickly came to his aid. He was ready to give up, as his feet were badly blistered and swollen.
"While they waited for Border Patrol to arrive, they gave him water and performed first aid on his feet. There where blisters from his toes to his heels on both feet, and they had burst. His feet were swollen.
"His feet were cleaned by the Minutemen on scene and the wounds were disinfected. This illegal alien was amazed when he learned that is was the Minutemen that were assisting him with his medical problems.
"We learned that he was part of the group that was spotted the night before on the Kolbe line, and was left behind because he could not keep up. He was on his way to Alabama to pick up the drywall job he left before heading back to Mexico for a visit.
"We also learned he had only paid $1,000 to the coyote to make his journey. Just a few examples of how we are helping save lives, and being compassionate, while helping secure our borders.
"The Border Patrol and National Guard are currently running an operation called "Operation Willpower" along the border south of our lines. They are throwing all the resources they have at this area, and yet still the illegals continue to pour across our lines.
"This past week we had numerous illegals spotted on the Kolbe, Alpha, and Bravo lines. To date we have spotted and reported over 285 illegals crossing our lines.
"If you have not yet made it down to stand post on one of our lines, you are missing out. We need your help! Come on down anytime, and help us secure our border. I look forward to seeing you on post.
"Lance Altherr, Tucson Chapter Leader"
Lance also adds a special thank you to all of the great Americans who have come down and stood post with the Minutemen.
Some commentators are convinced that if the lamestream media did its job, reported on the current Minuteman operations, and covered the courageous volunteers accurately, the national perception of the group would be quite different. They consider the chance of this happening unlikely.
Hispanic-instigated riots, death threats and marches against the Minutemen are largely based on the false notion, widely circulated by "news" outlets, that these compassionate volunteers are vigilantes hunting immigrants, though no evidence of this exists.
"News" media personnel should be ashamed of their bigoted, biased, grossly inaccurate coverage, but apparently are not, and could care less, according to the stories they have filed. Calls for comment went unanswered.
Meanwhile, the 5,000-people-per-day invasion of the United States continues unabated.
Some knowledgeable experts credit the Minutemen with single-handedly making the entire nation and Congress aware of the extremely severe situation on the border.
Though editors and reporters have been kept constantly informed of these developments, their silence remains deafening. This may actually be a good thing, since almost everything they write on the subject misinforms the public.
Border Patrol agents, speaking off the record with volunteers on the lines, uniformly commend the Minutemen, and express gratitude for the help they provide. The Border Patrol union has publicly made similar statements, see what they think on their website: http://www.local2544.org
Ethics charges against the media would be filed, but there is nowhere to file them.

Alan, As always, I thank you for your keeping us all updated. With efforts like yours, the Minutemen, and others who see reality, and not sound-bites, or a voter population that isn't legal or representative of the population as a whole, maybe a difference can be accomplished. --Jerry Coleman
