We're Not Just Dust In The Wind
We might just be the wind.

Are we alone in the universe?
Or are we a blue marble among millions, and insignificant?

The “science” and common culture now gravitates to “must be millions out there, universe big, time long, fools.”

No evidence supports this.

Sure, it seems likely, especially after the incessant repetition of the theme.

The Big Bang theory best explains, for now, what we observe around us. That in no way justifies the default position of the millions-must-be-out-there postulate. The big-universe-time-long notion, sans proof, is junk science.

The ONLY sample we have contradicts it -- us. Took nine billion years for Earth to arrive, 4.5 billion for us, is there some explanation as to why we took so long? Or is our time frame actually pretty quick? Doesn’t anyone ask? (That’s rhetorical... no.) Herd-mentality "science."

Has Your Landline Phone Become Almost Worthless?

My landline rings constantly with little more than no-one-there, robo calls, solicitations from people who sound Eurasian long distance, to fax-tone blasts. That the American phone companies have allowed this to happen, with a weak kneed “there’s nothing we can do about it” is a travesty. My 800 line, which I pay for, is a conduit for advertisers who make me pay for their sludge. If I knew who to assault back I’d be sorely tempted. Even the Attorney General here has no recourse. One more sign that our country is under attack with little we can do -- at the moment.

“He acted alone” -- is a lie!

When news reports say a muslim jihadi “acted alone” they are lying straight to your face, and it’s obvious. They are obeying the rules of political correctness, which say, “Never tell the public what is really happening, if it goes against our approved narrative. Always make the story part of the carefully constructed narrative, so you exercise control over their thinking.”

In this case the narrative is: “Islam is the religion of peace. Muslims are your friends. Not all muslims are terrorists. They do not act in a coordinated way. They have not infiltrated every fabric of America. Saying or implying anything negative about muslims upsets us, and is offensive, even, or especially, if it's true.

"The fact that all the muslims who didn't participate in the attack don’t express outrage at these brazen acts doesn’t matter, and in fact, good journalists do not raise that point. Anyone who says different is called a bad name.”

What is it about the leftist media that makes them so eager to say, "He acted alone!" A blind man can see these warriors act as a combat unit. Same tactics, same targets, same vile chants, same origins, same goals, same religious fervor, same disheveled uniforms. You can spot them a mile away without a spotting scope, though they camouflage well until they strike. They even use the same hair stylist.

“Political Correctness” is a disease infecting freedom
It is not correct and it is political. It is cultural marxism, a form of thought control, a tool of left wing to fundamentally transform America into a totalitarian regime, where anything you say or do is subject to oversight. It is not a joke, even if late night comedians treat it so. Don't treat it as a joke, or with humor. Treat it as if someone used a curse word on you. Because they did.

Calling a muslim jihad warrior a “Florida man” is pure propaganda.
Knowing full well that the muslim combatant who weaponized a rental truck in New York recently was a jihadi from the middle east, the disgraced former news station CNN decided to hide the Islamic-terror nature of the attack from their viewers and obey a politically correct mantra they've adopted. They protected and disguised his muslim-jihadi goals, even though they were blatantly obvious. CNN changed its position soon after being publicly humiliated for their brazen nearly treasonous acts.

Failing to learn that lesson, USA Today, in a self-contradictory cover story the next day, called the muslim jihadi warrior “A suspected terrorist” as its opening line, yet reported in its second graf (journalism lingo for paragraph) it “was confirmed as terrorism by authorities,” and “This was an act of terror,” according to controversial mayor Bill de Blasio. He is the person responsible for deciding to shelter non-citizen dangerous felons and other aliens from arrest in New York, defying federal law in the nation’s largest city where the jihad assault took place. CNN and officials still persist in calling the global islamic jihad "terror," and some people continue to be fooled.

“In all, the FBI fielded 203,086 requests on Black Friday, up from the previous single-day highs of 185,713 last year and 185,345 in 2015. The two previous records also were recorded on Black Friday...”

The report continues with previously reported details about NICS, failures to detect criminals, missing records, the need for more resources, and surging gun sales, which have slowed since Obama, but continue under Trump.

Virtually every lamestream “news” outlet on Saturday carried an identical story -- as if Guinness World Records was the only reason for this report. Every single story -- Google it for yourself -- used identical facts, spin, and lack of any real relevance. This demonstrates the stories have one source -- a government “release” -- and no independent reporting. Federal agents managed this "news." Reporters were complicit.

The FBI set a record for checks! The FBI had to pull staff from other crucial tasks to manage the management of innocent shoppers! The federal agencies spent enough money to beef up the system from last year’s record, to handle this year’s record! Here, lapdogs, take your handout. Everyone did.

Missing was the blatantly obvious -- were any criminals caught, any crime stopped, by this over-hyped, ultra expensive, democrat-promoted system? Not one word addressed that -- the supposed reason the thing exists. Not one story posed the question. It is a 100% error of omission or misguided spin. Hooray for our side, we set a record! Did we do any good? Who cares, we don’t report on that. Stories demanding more background check something have flooded the news outlets for months previously.

Readers can count on more stories soon calling for more checks. As soon as a psycho or jihadi is unaffected by the system (because it is flawed at its core), and people are murdered (called a “shooting” by the "news"), calls for more checks will appear simultaneously, by coincidence.

The checks delayed innocent people from buying guns without due process, providing identifying information of innocent people exercising their constitutional rights to federal police agents. It also registered every single gun purchased, with the cost and record keeping totally absorbed by firearms dealers, required by law to do and retain the paperwork (in addition to electronic data sent to a central-command office in West Virginia). The FBI can arrest any dealer who does not comply, saving the FBI from the grueling, expensive task, and giving them tremendous power, which they like.

“For more than 20 years the system has served as the centerpiece of the government’s effort to block criminals from obtaining firearms,” according to every published report scanned for this article.

Every type of criminal known however -- drug dealers, gang bangers, psychos, muslim jihadis, armed and dangerous fugitives, domestic abusers, mass murderers -- all of them, remain armed. At what point will the system be declared a failure and closed?

No report on the system’s actual successes (criminals stopped and imprisoned) has been promoted. Because there isn’t one. Prof. John Lott’s study shows false positives rate (innocent people falsely denied) in the 99% range. The math below bears this out. Even the government’s own study of convictions from the system shows a number too small for most people to pronounce. For example --

Politifact: 2009, 6 million checks, 71,000 denials (1.1%), 25% should not have been denied at all, 4,700 referred for further review, only 77 cases actually prosecuted, number of convictions -- not reported. If all were convictions (impossible but), 77/6,000,000 = 0.00001283 (12.83 millionths convictions). Not a great return on investment. Politifact concludes, “In a significant number of cases, no crime was committed and other cases are not provable.”

If you see a reporter, ask, “How many people found by NICS are arrested?” and “How many people found by NICS are convicted of anything?” After the deafening silence, ask, “Should your report include that, and if not, are you reporting the full story fairly?” You know the answers. They are not.

I stand by my frequent admonition: “If it’s in the ‘news’ and it’s about guns, it’s probably 100% wrong.” At best, it’s as deceptive as an outright lie.

USA Today finds a new low

In a front page story, a reporter named Mathew Diebel tells us the "Australian National University" has found the perfect number of hours in a work week: 39. This is the research result of Huong Dinh, at the university's "research school of population health." According to the report, "Long hours erode a person's mental and physical health because it leaves less time to eat well and look after themselves properly," according to the lead researcher.

Using an olden investigative tool called a "calculator," the Uninvited Ombudsman finds a week has 168 hours. Subtracting Huong's 39-hour ideal, we find a person would be left with 129 hours weekly to eat, brush teeth, and do whatever else a person needs to do to maintain mental and physical health. That math was not included in the story.

There is no objective way to make Huong's ridiculous claim, for Australia, the U.S., The Cayman Islands, Bangladesh or anywhere. Giving it front page coverage, where news is supposed to appear, is further proof that USA Today is wasting paper. For comparison, the paper points out that Americans typically spend 47 hours a week working, with no support for the figure, and without pointing out that America is among the most highly desired destinations of productive people on the planet. By comparison, the writer says the French spend 35 hours a week working. So what. Whether the huge and growing muslim welfare population is included in that figure isn't mentioned.

The writer does say, with no apologies, that women need to work less, because they're women. Apparently, the diversity and equal opportunity quality czars at USA Today let that slip through uncensored. The public already knows that women and men compete separately at the Olympics, due to widely recognized differences. The National Football League could not be reached for comment on their own lack of diversity, work-hour schedules, or lack of racial and gender diversity, termed bullpucky in live-mic leakage.

Abuse of people has been on since forever.

The idea that it is now grounds for dismissal and destruction without due process --

mob mentality -- that's the issue.

Islam treats women like slaves. Not figurative slaves, literal slaves.

If actual concern for treatment of women was the issue,

that would be on the radar.

That would be front and center, on the table.

It is not.

Not just muslims in Arabia, and France, and among 1.2 billion muslims.

Right here in Dearborn, Michigan and elsewhere.

Nobody cares about that.

Because it's not part of the herd mentality that's taken control.

The herd mentality is the problem.

Are there real abuse problems between women and men? Sure.

Do men, being unequal, take advantage? Who doesn't know that.

Life is unfair. We all get that.

You do what you can. It's not fair.

Short of felony assault your choices are more limited.

And even then...

Some of it's pure biology, some is more sinister.

Just like life.

Remember: All sexual advances are unwanted sexual advances,

until you find out if they're wanted or not.

That's true for both sexes.

I was fortunate to have met a French woman on a flight to France.

That was in my music-business days, from 1972 - 1980, went to MIDEM,

voted for the Grammy winners, I was in the thick of it, the whole nine yards.

My French girlfriend, bless her, she taught me a lot about the world,

as naive as she may have been about other things (so I taught her

a thing or two too). She informed me, after I gave up one time,

"Oooh Alain... sometimes no meeens yes!"

In a rare break with its constant promoting of serial killers, The Arizona Republic ran a reader's letter in tune with the JPFO "Don't Inspire Evil" campaign, which calls for a new journalism ethics guideline:

"Refrain from gratuitous or repetitive use of spree killer or jihadi names and images."

The media has refused to even consider the guideline. The letter writer goes further:

"Phoenix serial killers do not deserve news coverage! Criminologists have confirmed that publicity motivates serial killers. Ten years ago horrible crimes happened to random victims who could have been you or me, or much worse, our daughter or son. i was heartbroken to see The Republic give to the killers exactly what hey want: five days of attention.

"As a city and a nation, how an we stop the creation of serial killers until we stop making stars of the criminals who take innocent lives? The media understand society's fascination with violence and murder. They exploit this obsession through excessive coverage.

"Next time, prior to succumbing to sensationalism, please use some restraint and consider the impact upon victims, both past and future." -Anne V.
