According to all the published research, by pro- and anti-rights groups, firearms in the hands of the public have prevented thousands of crimes and saved hundreds of lives since Sandy Hook, even using the most conservative studies, but virtually none of this has appeared in the news. The staunch refusal of Congress to take guns away from Americans, using the acts of madmen as a motivation, morphed into a variety of schemes for gun registration, ammunition limitations, new gun definitions, manufacturing changes, taxation schemes, so-called "background check" restriction and tracking plans and other novel approaches to civil-rights infringements banned for more than two centuries by the U.S. Constitution and the public will.

A dark army of new anti-rights groups, largely funded by a single man, billionaire former NY mayor Michael Bloomberg, sprang up to push this civil-rights attack, but to no avail so far. They vowed anew to continue their pressure at federal, state and local levels, using massive new funding, to deny the rights Americans have always enjoyed, as a way to prevent mass murderers from committing their violent carnage.

Efforts to foreclose the make-believe gun-free zones have been met with staunch resistance from the people bent on disarming the public in every case.

The lack of a loud and highly publicized push from Sandy Hook and Newtown promoters on the anniversary of one of these psychopathic assaults has been largely attributed to the preemptive campaign by Alan Gottlieb.

Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, proposed a counter-demonstration named Guns Save Lives Day, to highlight the fact that guns save far more lives on a daily basis than madmen take in their infrequent highly publicized assaults. He was determined to prevent the anti-rights side from "owning" the day, and probably forced the media to back off leaked plans to campaign loudly for new rights-denial laws in the public eye. The city of Newtown subsequently asked the media to stay away, and the media obediently complied.

It was unclear whether future requests to have the media back off its insensitive, biased, or pack-reporting mentality might also be possible. No balanced or other-side stories were planned or have been released.

Crimes averted and lives saved by private gun possession and use received virtually no national news coverage at all, all year long, giving the public a hopelessly distorted view of reality on the gun issue.

The "news" media could not be reached for comment on this now well-documented fact. Even the most conservative estimates, at 170,000 defensive gun uses annually, suggest more than 460 crimes averted daily. Not one word in this lengthy bleeding-heart story, about very real tragedies that occur non-stop all over the world without end, perpetrated essentially by governments, ever mentions who GETS all the money.

We know where the money comes from, though it is also never mentioned. It comes from working stiffs like you and me who work hard and earn it, taken in the form of taxes from the publics, by their governments, and given to the U.N. for "humanitarian do gooderism," without direct representation. The U.N. itself has no direct representative structure, just governments operating among themselves.

But who gets the $13 billion the U.N. is now advertising for, through the Associated Press' pretend "news"? Why didn't the "reporter," this John Heliprin person who ran the under secretary's staged press conference announcement, with the cooperation of his chain of command and so-called editors, ask?

Is it Campbell's soup? Or the Heinz food companies conglomerate, owned by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's wife? Does it go straight to dirt farmers in Kansas growing subsidized vegetables? Could it be rice paddy farmers on subsistence wages in Vietnam?

Inquiring minds want to know. After all, $13 billion is a lot of money. It buys a lot of food. What kind of food does the U.N. buy -- but you won't find out, if your source of news is the "news" media.

If you were a skeptic, you might even conclude that the companies that get all the billions, have a perverse love of the governments that run the wars and create the tragedies -- because it generates the billions they get. That of course would be sick, but it would send their kids to school, pay for their vacations, and make their bottom lines look very nice indeed. If government malfeasance stopped, or when tragedies slow down, they have an inverse desire to see things get worse.

Living in a sea of germs we develop immunities and this is healthy and good. It's called natural selection, a feature secularists adore so much they see it as a godless way to view humanity itself, where it barely applies at all. The AP report continues:

The National Shooting Sports Foundation, which will stage the ginormous SHOT Show in Las Vegas next week, broke the news that in a joint announcement with Gov. Matt Mead, Magpul Industries confirmed it will relocate manufacturing, distribution and shipping operations to Cheyenne, Wyoming. The company said it plans to lease a 58,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility while the construction of a new 100,000-square-foot facility is being completed in a Cheyenne business park. This approach allows for rapid movement of operations out of Colorado where the company is currently located. Magpul also said is moving its corporate headquarters to Texas. The company had made it very clear that it would relocate from Colorado following the enactment in 2013 of that state's new gun control laws, which included a provision limiting the capacity of magazine.

11- GUNS SAVE LIVES DAY a Huge Success

BELLEVUE, WA - "Guns Save Lives Day," observed Sunday, Dec. 15, in conjunction with Bill of Rights Day, was a huge success, the Second Amendment Foundation said today.

SAF Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb said preliminary data indicates that more than 20 million people saw or heard the organization's "Guns Save Lives" advertisements on cable television or radio, more than 46,000 people voted in the opinion poll supporting the right of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves from violent crime, and more than 90,000 people signed an on-line Gun Rights petition.

"We want to thank all of the sponsoring organizations that supported this event," Gottlieb said. "They are too numerous to mention all of them, but in particular the effort was supported by the Calguns Foundation, Texas State Rifle Association, Illinois State Rifle Association, Virginia Citizens Defense League, Illinois Carry, Long Island Firearms, Florida Carry, Alabama's Bama Carry, Georgia Carry, Montana Shooting Sports Association, Nebraska Firearms Owners Association, Louisiana Shooting Association, New Jersey Second Amendment Society, the Shooters Committee on Political Education of New York, Arizona Citizens Defense League and many others."

Preliminary estimates indicate that more than 700,000 people celebrated "Guns Save Lives Day" by attending gun shows, visiting gun clubs, gun shops and shooting ranges, Gottlieb added.

Leading up to the event, Gottlieb participated in 36 radio and television interviews and discussions, reaching millions of viewers and listeners with the "Guns Save Lives" message.

"From all indications," he said, "there was overwhelming support from firearms owners across the landscape. While anti-gunners shamelessly exploited Saturday's somber anniversary of the Newtown tragedy, Sunday's activities and weekend attendance at gun shows demonstrated that America is a resilient nation, and that its people understand the difference between extremist, agenda-driven ideology and common sense.

"Guns Save Lives Day," he concluded, "underscored the positive impacts of widespread firearms ownership, and the importance of protecting and preserving the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms."

Some highlights, details (and statutes) included in the 8th edition:

--Mandatory carry-license training has been reduced from 10-15 hours to 4-6 hours.
  Widely publicized by the "news" media. Your need-to-know hasn't dropped, just the government mandate.

--Renewals are now a paperwork and taxing process that can be concluded online, with no new testing required.
   Savvy instructors will start promoting training instead of waiting for expired-license students to show up. Some instructors think this means the end of their business, and for some that may be true. For others, business will increase, as training becomes demand driven instead of government mandated. In Arizona, this demographic and market shift led to new ranges and new training companies opening, catering to newcomers, plus advanced tactical and refresher classes. The ease of renewals led to more original signups.

--Instructors no longer go to the DPS range for testing, they now test each other at a range of their own choosing.

--The risk CHLs used to face for having a gun momentarily show through concealment has been reduced, not eliminated.

--The guarantees of the Motorist Protection Act have been extended somewhat to colleges and universities. It is a step toward Constitutional Carry -- true freedom to carry, without requiring government-issued permission slips.

--The preemption law got some teeth, and BB and air guns are now defined and included.

--Hotels that want to ban your civil right to arms must give you notice or face (minor) criminal penalties.

--A program to provide armed guards in schools ("School Marshals") is underway, though it will be a while before it is robust. Not exactly part of the CHL program, DPS wants other dept. to run it, must have CHL to apply, psych test and a lot more to it. See the book for details.

--The abusive policy of destroying firearms in police custody has ended. Those guns must now be sold, the money used to fight crime.

--The artificial "SA" and "NSA" distinction between semi-autos and non-semi-autos has been discarded. Minimum caliber for the shooting test remains .32, but any qualification allows you to carry any legal firearm, and qualify once in a lifetime (for now).

--Using your social security number for identification in the CHL program is now banned. But forms still have it included.

--Many other smaller changes have also been made. Many are noted in the update summaries at GunLaws.com, linked below. Without the book itself though you get a disjointed view. Get the book. Play it safe.
