I've created a special feature for the print media and broadcasters ("Page Nine" regardless of where or when it runs), that covers stories afresh, not the way news rooms typically flavor things. It would help reduce the distrust so many news consumers feel and could be the most avidly followed item you carry -- if you carry it. It certainly is well received by my audience.
This casual sample might make you say, "We'll NEVER run that!" but Page Nine is being built around ad revenues from clear-thinking mainstream businesses.

Bill of Rights Day Celebration, Mon. evening, Dec. 15, 2008.
Read the Bill of Rights out loud on the day it was ratified in 1791. Join us in Phoenix this year at the spectacular Wrigley Mansion for the reading, refreshments, and roundtable discussion! Details posted here: https://www.gunlaws.com/newstuff.htm
Let your friends know -- and if you're out-of-town you can arrange your own event to recognize and honor the framework of freedom on planet Earth -- it's easy, fun, so worthwhile: https://www.gunlaws.com/BOR%20Day%202006.htm
MEET ME AT THE CROSSROADS GUN SHOW, Dec. 5 - 7
More than 2,300 tables -- biggest show of the year -- and I'll be there all THREE days, at the Phoenix Fairgrounds. I'll be signing our new Heller Case book, which may be your best defense against Obama's mad dash against gun rights. Show promoter site has complete details: http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com. Autographed books make high quality Christmas gifts. Don't miss this show's special artillery sales and displays...
If Obama's proposed gun show bill is as bad as McCain's was, https://www.gunlaws.com/GunShows/index.htm it could mean the end of gun shows. Don't miss this chance to tell your grandkids what it was like -- or hey, bring them along! Also -- opportunities to directly support gun rights. Get there early -- ammo dealers sold out of .223, 9mm and .45 at the last show.
CORRECTIONS:
Obama apparently dumped his link on the unfriendly gun policy (and more) -- I guess that's "change." Sorry about the now dead link. Here's one that was working, http://origin.barackobama.com/issues/urban_policy/#crime-and-law-enforcement
and if it goes bad, I'll put the info on my site, I downloaded the page while I still could.
"I respect the Second Amendment," according to Barack "Hope" Obama, Joe "Gun-Friend" Biden, and all politicians running for office from both parties.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
The anti-rights candidates have so far refused to reject and repudiate proposals made last year by anti-rights supporters for draconian gun bills that would basically outlaw guns and ammunition over a period of several years. Widely defeated when government was under control of the do-little Republican party, the viciously anti-gun-rights Democrat party cannot be relied upon to maintain that course, on a model bill introduced in 18 states that would have required:
All ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer with a data base tracking all ammunition sales; no one could sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 under the failed proposal unless the ammunition was coded; any privately held non-coded ammunition would have to be destroyed by July 1, 2011 (including handloaded ammo); and a tax of at least five cents on every round, considered by some to be way too low.
This is the kind of thinking out there in the anti-rights community -- Obama's constituency -- who managed to get this legislation introduced in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.
Fear over possible gun controls under president-elect Obama are BLAMED for a huge spike in gun and ammo sales nationwide. "Instead of buying a box of shells, people are buying cases," said one gun dealer. Local gun racks are picked clean, especially AR-15 rifles, and distributors can't resupply since they're picked clean too. Manufacturers are adding shifts to meet demand, with back orders mounting.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Fear over promised gun controls under president-elect Obama are CREDITED for a huge spike in gun and ammo sales nationwide. "This is a bright ray of sunshine and good news for businesses in a slow economy," said one gun dealer. "Customers have been buying guns like they are going out of style."
Obama's specific plans for gun controls are a secret, but no one any longer believes his campaign deceptions about support for the Second Amendment, leading some gun owners who voted for him to recognize their act was political suicide.
"Gun-owner guidebook sales are up too," said Alan Korwin, publisher at Bloomfield Press, the nation's largest publisher and distributor of gun-law books. "Newcomers especially need to know the rules, and the books make perfect inexpensive gifts." (Wholesale discounts are available on as few as six copies, call 1-800-707-4020). Store owners have been stocking up to meet demand, expecting a wild Christmas season.

3- Love Ain't Science
The lamestream media told you:
"USA Today -- New brain scans of people who say they are still in love after decades of marriage are similar to scans of those who have just fallen in love, leading researchers to conclude that long-term relationships can be just as passionate and romantic as new love. 'We're confident it's real,' says psychologist Arthur Aron of the State University of New York-Stony Brook, one of the researchers involved in the study. 'That's what the brain scans are telling us. People can't fake that.'" http://tinyurl.com/6bjlb7
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Of all the unmitigated nonsense passing for science today, a study of how long love lasts sets a new low, since science can't even prove love exists at all. "Many things are outside what science can do, like 'measuring' politics or guaranteeing tomorrow, and proving or measuring love is at the top of the list," said a knowledgeable non-scientist on condition of anonymity.
How the "scientists" got approval to conduct such a study and who approved it was not revealed, and it is not known if they obtained federal or other public money to squander on their quack-like observations. The alleged sages studied ten women and seven men to draw their highly publicized conclusion. "Any publicist capable of getting such minor tripe into USA Today must be one hot mouthpiece," according to leading experts.
Columbia Journalism Review noted on 11/14/08 that science reporting "is more and more the direct product of PR shops." Polished spoon-fed "news" has "become a powerful subversive tool eroding the chance that reporters will craft their own stories." It seems most labs now have sophisticated flacks to do reporters' jobs, infused with spin that gets into Reuters, AP, networks and the other usual suspects, who could not be reached for comment.
--------
4- Leftists Subvert Journalism
The lamestream media told you:
USA Today is America's newspaper.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Two key journalists exposed themselves to the public at a forum sponsored by the Society of Professional Journalists at Arizona State University on Nov. 12.
The Uninvited Ombudsman asked USA Today Washington D.C. Bureau Chief Susan Page: "The studies right before the election and immediately after it found that news coverage was slanted by two-to-one, and as much as four-to-one for John McCain... to lose. Given that the popular vote spread was only 3% (52% to 46%, a 6% difference, or 3% away from swinging the result), would the election have turned out differently if the news media had been balanced, or tilted the other way?"
Her answer: "No. Because the country was ready for change, you could just tell." Her husband Carl Leubsdorf, Washington Bureau Chief for the Dallas Morning News, agreed.
Why? She says because Obama's: New. Fresh. Represents change. People love him, including reporters (I'm not making this up), and he ran a good campaign. Palin, by the way, "sabotaged herself." Also, "She needed more coverage."
Does coverage that slanted meet the SPJ ethics guidelines for fair, balanced reporting? She says, "No." (The guidelines provide no rebuke, reproach, censure or penalty for even grossly abusive violations on an industry-wide scale, even if they alter national elections.)
What does she read to get a sense of what people are thinking?
Her answer: "Daily Kos and The Huffington Post." She saw nothing unusual in this, adding, these are good places for finding story leads.
Her favorite TV news: NBC, because their political coverage is good. (NBC is widely recognized as the most unbalanced cheerleader on the air for the Democrats).
Leubsdorf believes MSNBC is to the left, FOX news is way to the right, and CNN is right in the middle. (CNN may be between the other two, but is so far left it's impossible to fairly call them the middle.)
When asked about the Fairness Doctrine, the Washington Bureau Chief for USA Today claimed: she didn't know much about it, it's a complex issue, the FCC is the bureau in charge, and mumbled something about managing the public airwaves. I told her she should be against having federal bureaucrats deciding what you can say, and she said it's not on her desk.
In other comments, "The New York Times is the most respected newspaper in the country." Speaking of Keith Olbermann, "I think he's very good at what he does." Going forward, "FOX was hurt by the Obama win and will be on the outside looking in. MSNBC will be the voice of the administration."
When the audience of 50 or so ASU students was asked if they watched CNN, most hands went up. When asked if they watched FOX, I saw only one. The moderator, N. Christian Anderson III, a visiting journalism professor, added with a chuckle, "We only get CNN here."
--------
5- Phony Fairness Doctrine
The lamestream media told you:
The "Fairness Doctrine" is a grand idea and needed badly because: Talk radio has to be controlled to limit pornography (NY Sen. Chuck Schumer), Government has to manage the "public" airwaves; "Both" sides must get equal time and the FCC is the agency to "oversee" compliance; The FCC can tell which sides are which and make a fair determination on who can say what for how long; Station managers should be forced to provide "opposing" views in the public interest or else lose their licenses; The mere people who tune in to what they want to hear are not an adequate safeguard on fairness; Advertisers can't be trusted and will distort the playing field by only supporting the players who make money and remain viable, so government intervention is needed; The First Amendment isn't violated if government provides fairness.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Those are the arguments put forth by the left and trumpeted without question by the "news" media, but the real purpose of the phony fairness doctrine is to close down talk radio. Read behind the rhetoric, from leftist sources, and the goal is to silence the loudest and only mainstream voice that is right of center, broadcast radio.
Stop the pretense of fairness. The Unfairness Doctrine has one purpose -- to silence the enemies of socialism and the political left. It's not about fairness, it's about pure naked unbridled power. Unelected government bureaucrats deciding what you can say is not fairness, it is censorship, and 100% banned by the First Amendment (Congress shall make no law respecting freedom of speech or of the press.) What do you call politicians who would even suggest that they manage words that are used and who uses them? Are they fit to serve, are they honoring their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. No.
--------
6- "Open Government" Closed
The lamestream media told you:
President-elect Obama has promised to make government more transparent, including making bills available to the public before signing them.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Fears that congressional leaders and the president-elect will of attempt a new-law sneak attack, commonly called "ten bills in ten hours," grew today when it was learned that the posted statements for openness have been removed from Obama's change.gov website.
The site had claimed, "Sunlight Before Signing: Too often bills are rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them. As president, Obama will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House Web site for five days." Although the page has been taken down by Obama's team, it did get saved: http://tinyurl.com/668l9y
Even if the policy were still posted, any bill can be deemed an emergency to avoid the safeguard, and a five-day review period for bills that can run thousands of pages is an insult, making the policy a virtual sham (but now that it's not policy, it can't be called a sham can it).
--------
7- Emanuel Dishonors Electorate
The lamestream media told you:
Illinois representative Rahm Emanuel has been named as the new White House Chief of Staff. Emanuel, a power player in the Clinton administration accepted the honor without hesitation.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Wasn't Emanuel just elected to the House of Representatives? (Yes, he was.) What happens to the people who elected him? He campaigns, convinces people to elect him, and then just takes another job? Leaves the electorate twisting in the wind? So the election is now just a proxy -- "Vote for me and I'll put who I want into office while I do something else." Am I the only one who sees a small problem with this policy? What becomes of the small fortune spent to elect him, and the people who donated it? It smells funny to have a candidate raid the ranks of duly elected officials to fill his staff positions -- the moral thing to do would be to select from among the other 300 million people in the country.
No media reproach or popular outrage has been made or is expected. No word yet on who Emanuel will pick to fill the post he won, or what that person will do about the position they leave to leapfrog into the desirable vacant seat Emanuel abandons.
--------
8- Planet's Cooling Again
The lamestream media told you:
President-elect Obama plans to lead the charge against climate change, and implement a "cap-and-trade" program to control industrial output.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
"Turn up the heat, somebody. The globe is freezing. Even Al Gore is looking for an extra blanket... The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reports 63 record snowfalls in the United States, and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month. Only 44 Octobers over the past 114 years have been cooler than this last one.
"The polar ice is accumulating faster than usual, and some of the experts now concede that the globe hasn't warmed since 1995. You may have noticed, in fact, that Al and his pals, having given up on the sun, no longer even warn of global warming. Now it's 'climate change.'" http://tinyurl.com/6pt2xd
Climate changes because that's what climate does. The idea that government will tax us for this is beyond absurd.
--------
9- Burgeoning Bailout Balderdash
The lamestream media told you:
Experts say our economy must be retooled. Economic leaders are meeting to discuss how to save the economy. The auto industry must be bailed out and saved so it can operate, say insiders. We need more hundreds of billions of dollars to save the planet, or the country, or the economy, or something. We might need more money after that.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
Top-down thinking of the kind being featured on the front pages of all American newspapers is contrary to capitalism and the American business model. People who think they can sit in a office or at a meeting with other like-minded individuals and make accurate and workable rules for running industry or "an economy" are fools of the worst order. The media apparently did not get that memo.
For all the reporting about sums that are too large for any human being to comprehend, there is almost no news on who exactly should get the money, why the number is 700 instead of 800 billion, no loooonng lists of firms that would get checks of your money, exact controls over the funds, any semblance of oversight, just nothing meaningful besides big numbers and wild speculations that don't match each other. The dam has burst, every firm with teams of lawyers and accountants is bellying up to the trough that overfloweth.
The only people who can run businesses are the people who run businesses. The daily grind of making decisions based on on-hand information, supply and demand, workfloor data, buying trends, available goods, competitor activity, are business managers. This something no politician can do. Even if they have hope. Most don't even have business experience of any kind.
If you want to fix "an economy" you need businesses that can grow, provide jobs, and do the things that make business work, not hand-out money confiscated from taxpayers to businesses that aren't running right. I have to tell you this? And taking money from the people, so you can hire unemployed members of the people (like Obama is promising to an undefined 2.5 million people) is not only flat-out socialism, it's beyond stupid because there's no way for that to work. A dog that eats its tail gets no net nutrition.
The only sure-fire methods for boosting "the economy" requires doing things that boost the economy:
--Develop a new product or service that everyone wants and sell gazillions of them
--Develop a new product or service that works much better than an existing product
--Develop a new product or service that costs much less than en existing product
--Develop a new product or service that works much better than an existing product or service -- at the same cost, a lower cost or a greater cost
--Find an unfulfilled need people have and fill it
--Provide and existing product or service faster than an existing product or service
--Sell your existing products or services at prices well below what your competitors sell them for
--Sell your existing products or services to entire markets that can't get them now, say, in Africa, or Asia.
--Create a demand for a product that people didn't know they wanted until you created the demand
News media didn't get that memo either, and continues to call for "leaders" to travel and eat expensive meals while sequestered with each other in meetings, and issue press releases after the meeting, before meddling with people who are running businesses and providing real jobs, goods and services.
--------
10- Partisan Executive Orders
The lamestream media told you:
"AP -- Jesse Jackson Concerned About Bush's Last Months -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson said he is concerned about executive orders from president Bush in his last few months in office and the effect they could have on the incoming administration... he also criticized the federal bailout of the financial industry and called for Bush to help the ailing auto industry." http://tinyurl.com/6cfod5
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
While Mr. Jackson is concerned about president Bush's executive orders, half the country is concerned about a mountain of executive orders Barack Obama is expected to release immediately on taking office. A team is known to be working on masses of these, a point Jackson omitted in his partisan political comments after a church sermon, fawningly reported by lamestream reporters. Experts expect him to say nothing about these when they are released -- but the Uninvited Ombudsman plans to.
Executive orders are supposed to be a minor tool for running an office but have morphed to an entire legislative branch of government not found in the Constitution. No arrests have been made, no investigations are planned, and neither party seems to mind since they are equally guilty of the tactic.
In other news, Jackson criticized the Wall Street bailout, even though that is on hold while the czars who have seized control of the federal treasury backtrack and try to decide what to do with the galaxy-class fortune Congress gave them without oversight. Why Jackson would criticize one bailout and support another was unclear. Jackson has no known credentials in economics or high finance, a factor the lamestream media overlooked in covering the statements from the monochrome victimhood promoter, alleged for decades to be a racist and extortionist.
In other news, Jackson, who is unrelated to Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Andrew Jackson and Action Jackson, apologized for nasty remarks he made about Barack Obama, saying he didn't know his remarks were being recorded.
--------
11- Holder Hates Rights
The lamestream media told you:
Eric Holder has been named as the top choice for U.S. Attorney General, a highly qualified expert with a ton of experience and the first black to ever hold this position. It's a wonderful day for law and order in the stellar new presidential cabinet.
The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:
"While D.C. v. Heller was being heard by the Supreme Court in 2008, Eric Holder joined the Janet Reno-led amicus brief, which urged the Supreme Court to uphold Washington, D.C.'s handgun ban, saying the Dept. of Justice from Franklin Roosevelt through Bill Clinton had always believed the Second Amendment does not protect the rights of individuals to own guns for personal use.
Holder said overturning the 1976 law "opens the door to more people having more access to guns and putting guns on the streets." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Holder
This is the net effect so far of Obama's promised "respect for the Second Amendment."
The best defenses you will have for what looks like an onslaught against gun rights is The Heller Case: Gun Rights Affirmed!, get your copy -- the actual decision, all its strengths (and weaknesses) in plain English, input from 20 2A experts, and the 200 years of pro-rights cases that came before it (the High Court has NOT been quiet on this, despite what the "news" media has been telling you). Get familiar so you can help swing the debate.

CLOSERS:
When a new president takes office, the old president tells the new one the secret stuff only the president knows. This is why the new guys always change their tunes when they get into office despite their promises and their backers' wishes-- they find out how things really really work. For example:
-- Digital cryptography doesn't work, a handful of people in an NSA hollow mountain read all the world's encrypted traffic and give it to the president and small circles of super geeks; they can use the info but they can't tell anyone they have it or else the value of getting it goes away.
-- Osama bin Laden has been dead for years but you must keep up the pretense because, as "encrypted" messages have indicated, his death is the signal to set off secreted nukes in the U.S. and the location of some of the nukes is still unknown (many but not all have been located and neutralized); even if you eliminate them all, the word of the martyr is the trigger for universal muslim uprising, so the charade must be maintained, right down to CIA created periodic tapes of the enemy's voice.
-- Area 51 does have remains of an alien visit, which is a minor point, compared to the fact the those aliens were finance ministers who now control the world banks, money supply and the simulation of free markets, and while they remain anonymous and in control they prevent other more hostile alien races from coming here and creating havoc.

To put this "tragic child gun death" news-media nonsense in perspective: While about 75 children (ages 0-14) were killed in firearms accidents in 2005, 121 children in that age group were killed due to accidents riding their bicycles. Bikes are a commodity considered such a staple of childhood that parents are considered eccentric if they do NOT supply them to their children. This number is roughly in the same neighborhood as the number of people every year who choke themselves to death with ball-point pens (100). More children have been killed by government-mandated airbags since 1993 than have been killed in all school shootings.
In fact, many years' datasets show that fewer children under age 5 die from handgun accidents ( less than five annually) than are killed while DRIVING (that's right, DRIVING) motor vehicles (about 9 annually). What is Obama going to do to make CARS childproof? And when? --C.D. T.
Thanks. I (and many others) rely on you for the facts on the "overheated environment." Keep at it! Stay Ethical, Chuck
I pray that Obama is successful in taking every single gun out of civilian hands. Guns TAKE lives, they KILL, they create and cause unnecessary CRIME and they are the reason that our society cannot truly be free from hate, crime, death, violence, gangs, drugs, drive-by, murders, robberies, vigilantism. GET A F**KING LIFE, don't contact me again. CONCERNED, EDUCATED AND AWARE CITIZENS AGAINST GUNS. R. J.
[You seem very angry. Please don't curse at me, it's uncivil and undignified. If you disagree with me, say so like a good American, OK? FYI, guns save lives, guns stop crime, guns protect you, and guns are why America is still free. Why do you think we give guns to the police?
[I feel your pain -- disarm criminals NOW! Lock up violent criminals, whatever they use to assault you! No free ride for gunless criminals, OK? While "hate, crime, death, violence, gangs, drugs, drive-by, murders, robberies, vigilantism" remain human traits, you need guns to protect yourself. You think these human behaviors didn't exist before guns were invented? You say you're educated, but you haven't demonstrated it. --Alan.]
Re: Ten bills in ten hours, 10 hours...10 days...10 months...what's the difference? I might prefer the 10 hours so there is a chance that Americans will see the atrocities that are being orchestrated, thereby uniting for an immediate "change" back to Constitutional principles. Thanks again for Page Nine...as an elementary school teacher, I don't always have time during the school year to follow "lamestream media" myself.--Jonathan T.
My book arrived on Saturday! (The Heller Case: Gun Rights Affirmed!) Many thanks for all you do to inform folks with the truth. I wish more people would take the time to investigate claims made by those who wish to control us with nonsense legislation. Our Constitution is hanging by a thread and seems to only be upheld by those who take responsibility for their own actions. Best,
Welden
